Blykalla is a Swedish deep-tech company at the forefront of the nuclear industry, pioneering the development of small modular reactors that provide clean, safe, and reliable energy. Thanks to lead-cooling, we achieve high safety in a very compact format, allowing for a simple and cost-effective design that can be mass-produced. Our unique reactor design will provide safe and green baseload energy that perfectly complements solar and wind power.
What you'll get to do
At Blykalla, you will play a central role in our legal work – with a particular focus on contract drafting, reviewing and negotiation, fundraising transactions and corporate governance. You will work closely with leadership and key stakeholders to structure and negotiate deals, support capital raises and ensure we meet our legal and regulatory obligations as we scale. You will report directly to the Head of Legal.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
Collaborate with various departments to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks
Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry standards
Involvement in fundraising activities and procurement
Who you are
You will be part of a highly skilled team with a can-do attitude. As a person, you are detail-oriented, organised, proactive, and solution-oriented, and define yourself as someone who gets things done. To succeed in this role, you need to be open to rolling up your sleeves and helping where needed, contributing to the team's success in any way possible.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a legal counsel or corporate lawyer
Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law
Proven track record in negotiating commercial contracts, in particular supply and joint development agreements
Experience supporting business development activities
Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience from an IP heavy organisation or working in an IP practice group is a plus.

This position is for our office in Stockholm.

About Blykalla
Blykalla is Sweden's only SMR vendor, commercializing lead-cooled fast reactors for industrial use. Based on 20+ years of research, their SEALER technology is a compact 55 MWe unit designed to offer a safe, efficient, and scalable power solution. With a strong foundation within Sweden, Blykalla is well positioned to deliver Europe's first advanced SMR, providing reliable and sustainable baseload energy to power AI and clean industries.
Backed by partners such as Uniper, ABB, KSB, Höganäs, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Blykalla has secured close to EUR 50 million in funding, including a SEK 99 million grant from the Swedish Energy Agency and a EUR 17 million investment from the EU. The company plans to complete its first SEALER reactor by 2030 and begin serial production in the 2030s. By 2050, their technology could generate up to 500 TWh of clean electricity annually, cutting global CO₂ emissions by 0.5 gigatons each year.
