What You’ll Get to Do

As the Lead for Maritime Business Development, you will play a key role in driving Blykalla’s engagement within the shipping industry. You will coordinate business development and collaboration activities in this segment, working closely with stakeholders across the maritime sector to shape the future of nuclear-powered shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Blykalla’s business development efforts in maritime nuclear propulsion.

• Represent Blykalla in the NuProShip initiative and other industry collaborations.

• Engage with vessel owners, shipyards, regulators, and technology providers to explore strategic partnerships.

• Develop a roadmap for integrating Blykalla’s nuclear technology into shipping applications.

• Communicate the technical and regulatory requirements of nuclear-powered vessels to internal and external stakeholders.

• Support funding opportunities and strategic partnerships related to maritime nuclear propulsion.

Who You Are

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field. A Master-, MBA, or advanced degree is a plus.

• Strong technical interest and ability to learn and communicate complex engineering concepts related to nuclear integration in maritime vessels.

• Understanding of the shipping industry, including its regulatory and operational landscape.

• Proven ability to engage and collaborate with industry stakeholders.

• Strategic mindset with a passion for clean energy solutions in shipping.

• Experience in maritime technology, or energy transition is a plus.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, taking initiative to get things done. Experience in a startup or scale-up is a plus.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Location

This position is based in our Stockholm office and will require travel as needed to meet with clients, and partners, and attend industry events.
