At Blykalla, you will design and deliver our digital model together with our team – creating the backbone that enables the next generation of nuclear power.
Our ambition is to lead the digital development within nuclear engineering.
We are building a new digital landscape where product data, tools, and processes come together into one coherent digital model – supporting design, licensing, construction, and operation of advanced reactors.
What we do at Blykalla
Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.
To accelerate this journey, we are now hiring key roles for our Digital Systems Team:

Implement and operationalize product data models and structures for nuclear systems.
Deploy PLM strategy, standards, and governance.
Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements for product data.
Integrate PLM with MBSE, CAD/CAE, plant simulation, requirements, and configuration management to support the digital model.
Ensure version control, configuration status, and change processes are correctly implemented and maintained in the PLM platform and supporting digital tools.
Act as subject matter expert for PLM in partner and supplier discussions.
Who you are
You are an architect-minded professional who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery. You thrive on implementing structures, aligning stakeholders, and building the digital backbone that enables safe and modern nuclear engineering. You enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to implement emerging governance frameworks into functioning, integrated digital solutions.
Requirements
University degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or similar.
3+ years of experience in a similar role
Proven experience with PLM platforms and product data governance.
Knowledge of MBSE approach and integration with PLM, CAD/CAE, and simulation tools.
Experience with requirements and configuration management is a plus.
Familiarity with standards (ISO/IEC 81346, IEC 82045) is an advantage.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Why Blykalla?
You will join Sweden’s only SMR developer at a pivotal stage of growth. Our vision is to make safe, clean, and scalable nuclear power a reality – and safety is at the very heart of this mission. About Blykalla
Blykalla is Sweden's only SMR vendor, commercializing lead-cooled fast reactors for industrial use. Based on 20+ years of research, their SEALER technology is a compact 55 MWe unit designed to offer a safe, efficient, and scalable power solution. With a strong foundation within Sweden, Blykalla is well positioned to deliver Europe's first advanced SMR, providing reliable and sustainable baseload energy to power AI and clean industries.
Backed by partners such as Uniper, ABB, KSB, Höganäs, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Blykalla has secured close to EUR 50 million in funding, including a SEK 99 million grant from the Swedish Energy Agency and a EUR 17 million investment from the EU. The company plans to complete its first SEALER reactor by 2030 and begin serial production in the 2030s. By 2050, their technology could generate up to 500 TWh of clean electricity annually, cutting global CO₂ emissions by 0.5 gigatons each year.
