A Mission-Driven Leader to Own and Grow Our Swedish Partnerships
To strengthen and scale our commercial presence, we are now seeking a VP Commercial – Sweden to own, build, and grow Blykalla’s Swedish commercial platform.
About the Role
As VP Commercial – Sweden, you will have full commercial ownership of the Swedish market and play a critical role in establishing Blykalla as the leading SMR player in Sweden. Your primary focus will be Sweden, where we are developing our own projects for grid generation and industrial off-takers. In parallel, you will explore and evaluate selected opportunities in other relevant European markets, in close coordination with the VP Commercial US and the management team.
This role goes beyond traditional business development. You are expected to act as a business creator, shaping commercial models, structuring partnerships, and turning early-stage discussions into concrete, value-generating projects.
You will be based in Stockholm, report directly to the CEO, and work closely with the broader leadership team.
Core responsibilities:
Swedish/ European Customer & Off-taker Relationships
Own and develop all Swedish/European corporate and off-taker relationships, deeply understanding customer needs and translating them into concrete commercial opportunities.
Team Leadership
Build, manage, and develop the Swedish/European Business Development team, fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
Represent Blykalla towards industry partners, corporates, utilities, municipalities, and relevant stakeholders.
You will be based in Stockholm, where the rest of the team is located. You will report to the CEO and work closely with the VP Commercial US and the wider management team.

You build trust at senior levels, lead and motivate teams around a clear mission, and consistently turn relationships into value-creating, executable business.
Experience & Track Record
GENERAL BACKGROUND
Senior experience in business development or commercial roles within complex or regulated industries.
Engineering or business degree, with the ability to bridge technical and commercial discussions.
Fluent in English and Swedish.
COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or partnerships.
Proven ability to negotiate and close strategic agreements with corporate and industrial partners.
Experience working with energy, infrastructure, or industrial customers is a strong plus.
RELATIONSHIPS & LEADERSHIP
Strong network and credibility with senior stakeholders in the Swedish market.
Proven people leader with experience managing and developing teams.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.

About Blykalla
Blykalla is Sweden's only SMR vendor, commercializing lead-cooled fast reactors for industrial use. Based on 20+ years of research, their SEALER technology is a compact 55 MWe unit designed to offer a safe, efficient, and scalable power solution. With a strong foundation within Sweden, Blykalla is well positioned to deliver Europe's first advanced SMR, providing reliable and sustainable baseload energy to power AI and clean industries.
Backed by partners such as Uniper, ABB, KSB, Höganäs, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Blykalla has secured close to EUR 50 million in funding, including a SEK 99 million grant from the Swedish Energy Agency and a EUR 17 million investment from the EU. The company plans to complete its first SEALER reactor by 2030 and begin serial production in the 2030s. By 2050, their technology could generate up to 500 TWh of clean electricity annually, cutting global CO₂ emissions by 0.5 gigatons each year.
