We are growing our Supply Chain team with a Director, Procurement & Supply Chain. This role is instrumental in building Blykalla's Procurement and Supply Chain capabilities in the US, establishing strategic partnerships, and creating a supply chain that will enable the industrialization and future deployment of our SMRs.

Your assignment and mission
As Director, Procurement & Supply Chain, you will be responsible for defining and executing Blykalla's Procurement and Supply Chain strategy for our US operations. You will work closely with Engineering, Projects and Executive Leadership to establish a robust supplier ecosystem capable of supporting the development, manufacturing and commercialization of our reactor technology.
This is a highly strategic role where you will build the foundation for a scalable supply chain while also driving critical sourcing initiatives during our current growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the Procurement and Supply Chain strategy for Blykalla's US operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, industrialization plans and future reactor deployment.
Build and scale the US Procurement and Supply Chain function, including developing processes, governance, supplier strategies and future organizational capabilities.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management and executive leadership to understand technical requirements, project timelines and long-term business objectives.
Analyze global markets to identify strategic suppliers and partners capable of supporting first-of-a-kind nuclear technology.
Develop sourcing strategies for EPC contractors, nuclear systems, engineering services and other critical suppliers.
Lead complex sourcing processes and commercial negotiations, balancing technical capability, quality, delivery, regulatory compliance and total cost of ownership.
Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers to support industrialization and future commercial deployment.
Ensure sourcing activities comply with applicable industry standards, including ASME, nuclear quality assurance requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Drive supplier performance, supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Own Supply Chain risk management, including supplier resilience, contingency planning and strategic risk mitigation.
Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and influence stakeholders across Engineering, Projects and Executive Leadership.
Support the VP Supply Chain in defining the long-term Procurement and Supply Chain roadmap for Blykalla.

You will work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Project Management, Quality and Executive Leadership, while building strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners worldwide. We believe the following background will help you succeed:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Materials, Industrial or equivalent), Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Business, combined with strong technical understanding of complex engineered systems.
10+ years of progressive experience in Procurement and Supply Chain within highly technical and regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Aerospace, Defense or Oil & Gas.
Demonstrated experience developing Procurement or Supply Chain organizations, supplier ecosystems or strategic sourcing functions.
Strong understanding of EPC contracts, supplier qualification and procurement within complex engineering environments.
Ability to understand technical specifications, manufacturing processes, quality systems and nuclear-grade standards.
Proven experience translating engineering, safety and regulatory requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
Strong track record leading complex commercial negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships.
Experience supporting industrialization programs, first-of-a-kind products or large-scale engineering projects is highly valued.
Excellent analytical, commercial and strategic problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple functions.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Salary Range: $190,000–250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
